Yesteryear Tamil actor and Suriya-Karthi duo’s father Sivakumar is in a soup. On Saturday, the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam said that it filed a complaint against the veteran actor for making some "baseless allegations" against the TTD in a social media post recently.
Going into the details, Sivakumar in April wrote that the temple has different rules for different people on the basis of their economic status. He also hinted that influence and favouritism play a role in devotees gaining access to lodges, and other privileges in the temple town. Sivakumar reportedly asked in the angry post as to why anyone would like to visit such a place when devotees (from non-affluent backgrounds) are jostled and not treated well.
As per Tirumala DSP Prabhakar, Sivakumar used controversial words in his post.
Apart from Sivakumar, who is a celebrity, complaints have been filed against seven others, including commoners. A Facebook page titled Telugu Atheists is also in the dock.
