“History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way. It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen. Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!” These are the words that Donald Trump has used in his controversial letter to Turkey President Erdogan. The letter was dated October 10.
The letter calls on Erdogan to “work out a good deal!” and also warns him not to be a “tough guy” or “fool”. The letter also warns that he (Trump) could destroy the economy of Turkey if the situation in Syria is not handled in a just and humane way.
"This letter from Trump to Erdogan is surely one of the weirdest presidential communications in American history," says a commentator.
