Usually, political guests at film events are flattering about stars, actors, directors, producers and all. But, at the success meet of 'U-Turn', Nizamabad MP Kavitha was irreverent, albeit respectfully, towards Rahul Ravindran.
"I have seen only one film of yours. That film in which everybody keeps shouting throughout. I liked your performance in that film, though. I wish you all the best," the TRS MP said, smiling gently, even as everybody in the auditorium broke into a guffaw. She couldn't recollect the film's title - 'Andala Rakshasi'.
Rahul, who recently debuted as a director with 'Chi La Sow', must have taken it in his stride, given his attitude. But many see it as an embarrassment for him.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, 'Andala Rakshasi' featured loud but sensitive-minded characters. It's not known what really made the director keep them screaming, but the film has worked as a television experience.
