The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has today come up a basic outline of its election manifesto ahead of the Assembly elections. Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly held a 3-hour long meeting with the party's Manifesto Committee before making the outline public.

What is in store?

For farmers:

Agricultural loans worth Rs 1 lakh to be waived off.

Incentive under the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme to be increased to Rs. 10,000 per acre.

Promote food processing units through subsidies.

For other sections:

Unemployment doles

Under the Aasara Pension Scheme, the age limit will be decreased to 57. Over 8 lakh more people will be added to the scheme.

Pension amount to be increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,016. For People with disabilities (PwD), the amount to be increased to Rs 3,016.

A 'growth engine' to be established for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. They will be allotted Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 15,000 crore.

A corporation would be set up for the Reddy and Vyshya communities, both forward castes.
