Trolls question Samantha on Ram Charan's slap

With Samantha calling out 'Kabir Singh' director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for saying that love means having the liberty to slap around, social media trolling of the star actress is at its peak.
The 'Oh Baby' actress has been slammed for seeing nothing abnormal in Ram Charan's character in 'Rangasthalam' slapping her tightly in one of the crucial scenes in the 2018 blockbuster. If that is OK, why is Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) slapping Preethi (Kiara Advani) in the Hindi blockbuster not OK? This is what the trolls are asking. "In a scene in #Rangasthalam, Ram Charan slaps Samantha. She kisses him as the character Ramalakshmi saw it as an act of love and not violence. Every critic has given a thumbs up for the film & called it the best scene in the film," a Twitter user @myhonop says.
The trolls are wrong. Sandeep Reddy clearly said that "love means having the liberty to slap each other." Here, he is not talking about his characters but making a general statement about how it would be legitimate for a lover to get violent with his soulmate! The implication is that a guy or a girl slapping around his or her lover should be acceptable because that is what deep love is all about!
In 'Rangasthalam' or any film for that matter, a character slapping around his or her lover doesn't make a general statement. It's just about that character. Samantha has only called out what Sandeep Reddy said outside the film.
