Trivikram Srinivas was born in a middle class family in Bhimavaram. He did his bachelors in science in DNR College and took up a teaching job. He went onto complete Masters in Nuclear Physics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Later, he shifted to Hyderabad to pursue a career in the tinsel town and stayed with actor turned comedian Sunil, his long-time associate Sai and Prabhu. He was an avid reader. Though his goal is to become a film-maker, he didn`t have any road map to chase his dream. He began his journey as a script writer for television serials. He worked as an associate writer for Posani Krishna Murali for 18 about months and eventually joined as an associate director to K Vijay Bhaskar. He also bagged an opportunity to write dialogues for Venu starrer Swayamvaram (1999) directed by Vijay Bhaskar.
Following the film`s success, Trivikram grabbed an opportunity to pen the script and dialogues for blockbuster hit Nuvve Kavali (2000). The film had become one of the highest grossers of the year and made Trivikram in the reckoning. He began a celebrity in his own wright and continued to write scripts and dialogues for films like Chiru Navvutho, Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Ninne Premistha, Vasu, Manmadhudu, Malleswari and Jai Chiranjeeva.
Despite being a busy writer, he also penned lyrics for a song in Oka Raju Oka Rani before turning a director with Tharun and Shriya Saran's Nuvve Nuvve (2002). The film had won critical and commercial acclaim for its rib-tickling comedy and heart touching emotion. He is hailed as a proficient at creating a run-of-the-mill story to a master piece with his magical words.
After three years of hiatus, he directed Mahesh Babu for the first time in action-thriller Athadu (2005). The film had won critical acclaim for its top notch technical values. Though the film failed to work in theaters, it has taken the small screen by storm and figured on top – thanks to its clean entertainment.
His work ethic fetched him an opportunity to direct Pawan Kalyan in Jalsa (2008). The film has opened to positive reviews from the audiences and critics alike and has been adjudged as the highest grosser of the year. At a time when the friction between the fans of the star heroes is high, Trivikram has roped in Mahesh to give voice-over to the Pawan Kalyan starrer. He did the job with finesse and won the hearts of Tollywood movie-buffs. It`s no exaggeration that Trivikram is the only director in the Telugu film industry to share a great rapport with Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu, the biggest stars of Telugu cinema.
Trivikram continued his successful stint as the director with Khaleja (2010) featuring Mahesh Babu and Anushka Shetty in the lead. The film helped Mahesh to reinvent his acting prowess besides making Trivikram the favourite of coffee table conversations, again!
His next outing Julayi starring Allu Arjun gave a new dimension to the director`s aura and the whole progression of his directorial abilities. The one-liners in the film are faster than bullets and the sense of humour takes the excitement in the air. The film`s success gave him an opportunity to direct Allu Arjun again in romantic drama S/O Satyamurthy (2015). The film largely received lukewarm response because of the standards Trivikram has set for himself as a writer and the director.
Buoyed by the success of Jalsa, Trivikram has once again collaborated with Pawan Kalyan for Attarintiki Daredi (2013). The film has quivered the tinsel town with the piracy news but the leakage had hardly any effect on the prospects of the film. Fans of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram have welcome the film with fireworks and the result is a path-breaking hit.
In spite of his hectic work schedules, Trivikram also directed commercial advertisements with Ram Charan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and NTR. Currently, Trivikram has joined hands with actor Nithiin for romantic drama A..Aa... Anasuya Ramalingam vs Anand Vihari. The film is slotted for release in February, 2016.
Trivikram`s unrelenting passion towards cinema has always made him special. Happy Birthday to the quintessential film-maker!
