Shakalaka Shankar had a dream. To become a hero. 'Shambo Shankara', due to be released on June 29, materialized his dream into fruition. But before he became a male lead, Shankar had shocked at least three big film personalities by merely talking about his dream.
The comedian approached Trivikram Srinivas with the proposal to invest Rs. 2 crores on his film. The director had a shock of his life. "He had described me as a strong comedian, whatever it means, during 'A Aa'. He promised me that I will be cast in Kalyan babu's 'Agnyaathavaasi'.
It never happened. When I approached him with 'Shambo Shankara' script, Trivikram garu asked me to wait for another 2-3 years," the comedian recently said, suggesting that he was done by now.
Shankar then noted that Ravi Teja too couldn't dare to invest in him. Dil Raju too was of no help. "I had worked under Raju garu in the past. I went to him and put forth the proposal to co-produce 'Shambo Shankara'. I told him he will make Rs. 13 crores if he invests Rs. 2 crores in my film. He excused himself by saying that he was too busy and confused about his current projects," Shankar said.
He almost mocked at Allu Sirish.
While he narrated those conversations, Shankar sounded irreverent. But he later clarified that he had said those things in a jest.
