Commuters of the newly launched Chennai Metro Rail were in for a sweet shock on Friday morning. One of their co-passengers in the train was the ever charming actress Trisha!!!
Trisha boarded the train from Alandur station and before that she refused to accept any special treatment given for VIPs and followed the procedure. She went through the security checks and also purchased a Rs.40/- ticket required to travel a full length journey in the train. She boarded the train at around 7:30 am and got down at the Arumbakkam station and the journey took just fifteen minutes.
A visibly jubilant Trisha who has always claimed herself as a proud Chennai girl took a selfie inside the train and also posed for selfis with some of her co-passengers. She also had a chat with passengers on board.
Trisha said she has travelled in Metro trains in New York and many European cities and she was proud that the Chennai Metro train network is up to those standards. She also hoped that the Chennaiites help the maintenance of such standard. This was also Trisha`s first travel experience in a public transport vehicle in Chennai. She said she travelled to school with her own vehicle and after becoming an actress it was impossible for her to travel in public transit vehicles.
