Trisha’s Magical May: Birthday, Vijay’s Victory and ‘Karuppu’ Blockbuster

May 2026 has turned out to be one of the most memorable months in the life of Trisha Krishnan. What began as her birthday month soon transformed into a period filled with personal celebrations, political history, and massive box office success.

The actress recently shared behind-the-scenes pictures from Karuppu on Instagram with the caption, “My magical May said, one more for the win. Just God things,” perfectly summing up the extraordinary few weeks she experienced.

Within just 16 days between May 4 and May 20, Trisha celebrated her 43rd birthday, witnessed Vijay taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and watched “Karuppu” emerge as the biggest Tamil box office sensation of 2026 within days of release.

Interestingly, the month began with a cryptic Instagram post from Trisha on May 1, where she captioned a picture, “May (me) has begun.” Just three days later, Tamil Nadu witnessed a historic political shift as Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, secured a landmark victory in the state assembly elections.

With that victory, Vijay became the first leader outside the traditional DMK-AIADMK political dominance to form the government in Tamil Nadu since 1967. Coincidentally, the historic result was announced on Trisha’s birthday itself, making the day even more special and sparking massive discussion across social media.

Several celebrities reacted to the coincidence online. Lakshmi Manchu posted a birthday message for Trisha while also referring to Vijay’s political triumph, calling it the “best birthday gift” for the actress.

The internet buzz intensified further when Trisha was spotted visiting Vijay’s residence in Chennai on the same day. Visuals of her car being surrounded by photographers outside his home quickly went viral as election celebrations continued across the state.

Adding to the celebrations, “Karuppu,” starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji, emerged as a sensational blockbuster, with Trisha playing a key role in the film’s success.

For Trisha, May 2026 has now become more than just a birthday month it has turned into a month of milestones, unforgettable moments, and massive victories on multiple fronts.
