Actress Trisha is gearing up for the release of the horror flick 'Mohini' in which she is said to have done some bold stunts. She is also acting in the '96' with Vijay Sethupathi and the Tamil remake of 'NH10'.

Now Trisha has signed up to play the solo lead in a new Tamil film and this supposes to be one of the most exciting films in the actress's 15 year long career. Trisha will be apparently playing a woman detective in the newly launched Tamil film 'Kutrapayirchi'. This film will be directed by Vernik a former associate of Bala.

The title poster of 'Kutrapayirchi' reveals that the story is based on a true incident. Unconfirmed sources say that the film is based on the adventures of Rajani Pandit, hailed as the first woman detective of India. The story is apparently based on a mysterious murder that happened in 1980s which was solved by Rajani Pandit.

Radhan of 'Arjun Reddy' fame will be scoring music for 'Kutrapayirchi'. Babukumari is the cinematographer while Madhan will handle the editing. The film is being bankrolled by G.Vivekanandan for Sri Gurujothi Films banner.
