'Mohini' star Trisha Krishnan and almost-forgotten (on silver screen) heroine Priyamani will be seen in a thriller. This is a period film that will be set in the 1980s.

Titled 'Kuttrappayirchi' (Tamil), it will see Trisha playing a detective. To be directed by debutant Verniq, a Bala protege, the film won't have a hero. It's mostly around Trisha and Priyamani's characters that the story revolves. Radhan, who composed the songs for 'Arjun Reddy' will be its music director.

Trisha is not doing any Telugu film now, save '1818', which is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The heroine-centric film was launched in January, but nothing has been heard about it since then. In Tamil, she is working with Arvind Swamy and in Malayalam, with Nivin Pauly.
