Many top brands had in the past cashed in on Trisha's popularity to reach the masses. And now, leading pharma major Ranbaxy Laboratories announced that they have roped in the actress as brand ambassador for its brand, Volini.

In a statement, the company said, "Ranbaxy Volini will now be endorsed by the elegant Sonali Bendre and the Queen of south Indian Cinema, Trisha Krishnan, in its new campaign."

Ranbaxy said it would kick off campaign featuring both the actresses shortly across print, TV and other media.

"Volini is the fastest growing brand in the topical pain reliever category and among its target group, Sonali and Trisha have a huge fan following," according to Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare Vice-President Brijesh Kapil.

"This regional approach to unleash celebrity power is expected to give the brand a stronger consumer connect and provide strong impetus to make Volini the number one brand in the overall topical pain relievers category," he added.
