Popular Chennai based model Meera Mitun, a former winner of Miss South India beauty pageant, has been known for being a part of various brand endorsements and had set foot in the film industry as well, a few years back. The actress was supposed to debut with Grahanam, a supernatural thriller, which is yet to find a release.

However, she made her onscreen appearance playing a vital role in the hit thriller 8 Thottakal, which got her noticed, and following that went on to play Kalaiyarasan's pair in last year's Pongal release, the Suriya starrer Thaanaa Serndha Koottam directed by Vignesh Shivn. Currently acting in a number of projects, the actress has revealed a shocking fact.

Meera in a recent interview revealed that she was auditioned for Petta, but lost the opportunity due to unknown reasons, and that was the role Saro that Trisha plays now in the movie. Besides, she also expressed that she was supposed to play a crucial role in the upcoming Vikram starrer Kadaram Kondan directed by Rajesh M Selva and produced by Kamal Haasan, but lost the offer as well. Despite the huge misses, the pretty model is hoping to make a mark in Tamil cinema soon.
