Looks like the search has come to an end. Till a few days ago, debutant director Kalyan Krishna was maintaining that he was yet to zero in on a heroine for his maiden venture 'Boologam', which has 'Jayam' Ravi in the lead.

Sources now say Trisha has been signed for the role. To be produced by Aascar V Ravichandran on a lavish budget, 'Boologam', an action entertainer, will feature 'Jayam' Ravi in the role of a kick-boxer.

Names of some top actresses were under consideration. Finally, Trisha has emerged the winner and the film will hit the floors on May 20. A grand set resembling a market area is being erected at a popular studio in Chennai for Boologam, sources say.

The total cost of the set is said to be around Rs 1.5 crore. Remember Aascar V Ravichandran is always known for spending heavily on his films and the budgets of Shankar's 'Anniyan' and Kamal Haasan's 'Dasavatharam' are examples to it.
