Trisha and Nayanthara started their careers much about the same time two decades ago. Their rise to stardom was also on an even keel. The duo who were said to have had difficulty in getting along with each other later started bonding well and are now very friendly to each other.
There have been many attempts by filmmakers to cast Nayan and Trish together and a few years back even Vignesh Shivan wanted them on board 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal'. When the film was finally made Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara were retained but Samantha came in place of Trisha.
Now there is good news for fans of both the fab actresses that they are finally uniting for a new movie. Trisha is currently shooting in London for the Malayalam movie 'Ram' directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohan Lal in the lead role. The film was announced before the pandemic but was delayed.
Mollywood reports suggest that to compensate the losses incurred by the producer Red Carpet Suresh, Mohan Lal and Jeethu Joseph have decided to film 'Ram' in two parts. It has also been decided to cast Nayanthara in an important character and she will appear in the end of the first part and will feature prominently in the sequel. The official announcement is awaited.
Trisha is riding high on the success of her portrayal as Kundavai in 'Ponniyin Selvan' and fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel 'PS-2' to arrive in June 2023. Nayanthara meanwhile has played a major role in Chiranjeevi's just released super hit 'Godfather' directed by Mohan Raja.
