Trisha was last seen as the Chola princess Kundhavai in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' produced by Lyca Productions. The film became an all-time blockbuster at the box office. Meanwhile, Lyca Productions is bankrolling Trisha's upcoming film 'Raangi' as well.

Now, the makers have revealed the release date of Raangi with a special video. Raangi will be released in theatres on December 30. This film, which was completed years ago, was struggling to get a theatrical release. Now, the success of Ponniyin Selvan has resulted in Raangi's theatrical release.

The new 30-second promo is filled with stunning action blocks featuring Trisha. Young actress Anaswara Rajan played a pivotal role in this movie. Raangi is directed by M Saravanan (Engeyum Eppothum & Ivan Vera Mathiri fame) with a story by the renowned filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The music is composed by C Sathya with visuals by Shakthi.
