Leading actress Trisha made headlines on Tuesday after a politician made a slander involving her in public TV interviews. Former AIADMK member AV Raju made a statement before the media linking Trisha to the Koovathur resort in 2017 which caused a stir resulting in heavy backlash.

While AV Raju faced condemnations from all sides including fans and the film fraternity, Trisha wrote on her social media that she will be dealing with this legally. AV Raju apologised to the actress and others in a video following Trisha's post. It seems that Trisha decided to make a legal move irrespective of AV Raju's reaction.

Trisha posted a copy of the legal notice sent on her behalf to AV Raju. In the notice, her legal team attached the online links of AV Raju's malicious statement and insisted they be taken down from everywhere. The notice also seeks an unknown compensation amount from Raju for the mental agony endured by Trisha in the past few days.

Also, Raju will be restrained from making slanderous/vulgar/malicious comments about Trisha henceforth and he should issue an unconditional apology to the actress as per the terms in the legal notice. This is now going viral on the internet. We have to wait for a response from AV Raju's side.
