Debutant director Thirugnanam's Paramapatham Vilaiyattu starring Trisha is set to release worldwide on February 28. The movie which is produced by 24 HRs Studios also stars Baby Manasvi, AL Azhagappan, Richard, Nandha and has music by Amrish.

Today, the pre release event of Paramapatham Vilaiyattu was held in Chennai, and while the cast and crew including the director was present in the event, the film's lead Trisha was absent, and this was heavily criticized by some of the guests who graced the occasion.

Suresh Kamatchi, the producer of Simbu's Maanaadu said during his speech "Thirugnanam has made the movie like an experienced director. and this movie will be a milestone in Trisha's career. We are members of producers council who are here for our friendship, but are the stars not present here? It has been misunderstood by several actors that they are great stars if they skip promotions. When top actors like Rajni and Vijay attend promotional events, why can't you be responsible? Only as you are popular, you are signed for a movie, and when you don't attend promotions, what will the media cover in such events?Why should producers pay you when there are lots of freshers waiting for offers? What is your problem with meeting fans and media who helped your career growth? From now on, stars who act in movies must come for the promotions and this is my request."
