It has been rumoured that Trisha Krishnan will be foraying into politics. Earlier this week, social media was abuzz with the rumour that Tamil superstar Vijay is behind her decision. "The 'Master' and 'Beast' actor has convinced that Trisha should enter the Congress party," the rumour-mongers claimed. Many even used the news to suggest that Vijay is a Congress sympathizer.
But Trisha today made it clear that she is not getting into politics. "I don't know how and from where such a piece of news is arising. I don't have any plans to join politics," she has been quoted as saying by TNIE.
The actress is doing a handful of projects in Tamil and Malayalam. 'Paramapadham Vilayattu', 'Sathuranga Vettai 2', 'Ram' with Mohanlal are some of the ones.
The 'Peta' star will be seen in a prominent role in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan-I', which is slated to hit the screens on Sept 30.
