Actress Trisha turned the clock and became a leading star once again after Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan'. She paired with Thalapathy Vijay in 'Leo' and bagged the leading lady role in Ajith Kumar's 'Vidaamuyarchi', Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Viswambhara' and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's 'Thug Life'.
A recent media report suggests that Trisha is now the highest-paid South Indian actress. The buzz is that the actress got a whopping 12 crores as remuneration for acting in 'Thug Life'. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam and jointly bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films and Madras Talkies. This news is rocking the internet now. Trisha was reported paid Rs 5 crores in 'Leo'.
On the other hand, Thalapathy Vijay is said to be the highest-paid South Indian actor. We hear that the star took 250 crores as salary for the 'Thalapathy 69' project. However, we have to take these with a pinch of salt. The actor is now busy shooting for director Venkat Prabhu's 'The Greatest Of All Time', for which he reportedly got 200 crores.
