Triptii Dimri Addresses 'Animal' Controversies, Shares Insights on Ranbir Kapoor Scenes

Triptii Dimri has addressed the recent discussions regarding a scene in the film where Ranbir Kapoor's character, Rannvijay Singh, asks her character Zoya Riaz to perform an act involving his shoe. In her conversation with The Indian Express, Dimri, portraying Zoya Riaz in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial, shared her perspective on that specific scene. She mentioned attempting to empathize with Ranbir’s character and emphasized the intense emotional state he portrayed.
Dimri elaborated, acknowledging the character's turmoil, stating, “While he does ask her to do that (lick his shoe), he also walks away afterward. He's evidently grappling with profound thoughts. Later, when his cousins inquire about my fate, he responds, ‘Let her go wherever she wants to.’”
Additionally, the intimate scene featuring Triptii Dimri and Ranbir Kapoor in "Animal" has been a subject of attention. Speaking to India Today, Dimri candidly discussed filming the much-debated sequence with Ranbir.
Dimri noted the thoughtful approach during sensitive scenes, appreciating the limited crew presence, closed monitoring, and consistent concern for her comfort. She commended Ranbir Kapoor's care, stating he frequently checked on her well-being during the filming, demonstrating sensitivity to her comfort levels.
"Animal" also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. Released in five languages on December 1, the film has made a significant mark at the box office, grossing ₹586.85 crore worldwide.
