Two days after the first look of Jr NTR's character in 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' was unveiled, a tribal group in Adilabad has reportedly raised objections to the alleged Islamization of Komaram Bheem, the legendary tribal freedom fighter who was prominent in the 1920s through 1930s, in the film.
A tribal group leader is reported to have opined that it's strange that the anti-Nizam Bheem has been depicted as a Muslim by director SS Rajamouli. After feting a statue of Bheem with milk, he added that the distortion is not acceptable and that the 'Baahubali' director should apologize publicly.
So far, there are no major protests against the film. 'RRR' is still several months away from being released in theatres. Since Adivasis are a marginalized community, their sentiments could gain the support of political parties, too, if the controversy is not resolved in time.
