Nazriya a transgender cop working in Ramanathapuram has released a video in which she mixes rat poison in water and faints after drinking it. She has been rushed to the hospital where she is being treated.

Nazriya who hails from Paramakudi has stated that her colleagues inspector Muthuramalingam, Sub Inspector Jayaseelan and writer Parthiban have been verbally abusing her citing her sexuality. She has also alleged that they were indulging in sexual misconduct with her which has caused great mental toture to her resulting in her taking the extreme step.

The police, however, state that Nazriya had taken a leave of three weeks without intimation and necessary action would be taken against her and also a probe would be made to ascertain if she was abused as alleged by her.
