'Transformers: Age of Extinction' records a whooping 30 crore Indian weekend

Standing currently at $412.6 million after setting the international box office on fire by posing as the year's biggest opener by collecting $301 million (90 coming from China). Indian contribution to the Michael Bay's fourth edition of Transformers is now available.
Michael Bay's fourth edition of Transformers made a whooping 30Cr as its weekend Box Office collection in India, ending the second quarter of the year on a high.
Transformers - Age of Extinction received a thunderous response from viewers from India and posed itself as the 3rd biggest opening weekend for a Hollywood film in India after The Amazing Spider man 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Having released in 4 languages in India (English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu), this film has been distributed by Viacom18 Motion Pictures in India. With a distribution strategy that included approx. 1400 screens from across 770 locations, this epic franchise has an ever-growing fan base and revenues that multiply year on year in the region.
The movie was released across 37 countries and with nearly $400 million collections worldwide for the latest Transformer flick, Paramount films with its two upcoming movies "Hercules" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" hopes to gain considerable momentum in the fourth quarter of 2014.
