'Siddhartha', starring Sagar of the famous TV serial 'Mogali Rekulu' fame, is an actioner that sees him in an intense role. Also starring Ragini and Sakshi Chowdary, it has music by none other than Mani Sharma. Directed by KV Dayanand Reddy, the movie is produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar.

The trailer has Sagar bashing up the baddies rather violently. Supposed to be an angry man on a rampage, the hero's character comes with a troubled past. "Kani gatham needa la ventadutune undhi" ('But the past continues to haunt me'), so goes a line. The hero hails from Anantapur district in the movie. The screenplay intersperses factional rivalry and romance.

Also starring Subbaraju, Ajay, Randhir Gatla, Nagineedu, Satyam Rajesh, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Sana in different roles, it has cinematography by S Gopal Reddy, and editing by Prawin Pudi.

The movie is slated for a September release.
