Trailer Review: Paper Boy

In ‘Paper Boy’ newcomer Santosh Shoban is a paragon of virtues. He believes in hard work, simplicity (never mind the branded accessories) and pure love. The idyll goes for a toss when he falls in love with a rich girl and class differences spoil the party. Riya Suman (who looks fairly earnest in the trailer) and Tanya Hope play the female lead roles.

Directed by Jaya Shankar, the rom-com has the impressions of Sampath Nandi writ large all over. He is the heartbeat of the love story, which he has penned and co-produced. Given that Nandi's writing in 'Galipatam' was so good, we expect 'Paper Boy' to be anything but paper-thin.

The film surely has nice visuals (Soundar Rajan is the cinematographer) if the trailer is anything to go by. Aesthetically shot, its intimate kissing scene, we hope, is special. Bheems' music is yet to be tasted.

Posani Krishna Murali, Abhishek Maharshi, Vidyu Raman, Jayaprakash Reddy, Bithiri Sathi, Sunny, Mahesh Vitta and others are part of the cast.

Produced by Sampath Nandi, Ramulu, Venkat and Narasimha on Sampath Nandi Team Works, BLN Cinema and Prachitra Creations banners, 'Paper Boy' has editing by Tammiraju. Art Direction is by Rajeev. Script co-ordination is by Sudhakar Pavuluri.

The film will hit the screens on September 7.
