Trailer Review: 'Naa Peru Surya'

There is this subtle thread that runs throughout the Trailer of 'Naa Peru Surya'. Surya is seen as a deviant, however well-intentioned he may be. The characters around him seem to have resigned themselves to his deviance, much like in 'Arjun Reddy' (perhaps).
This is not to say he is "out of order". He is an ethicist who believes that everything is gone if the character is gone (remember that proverb we were repeatedly told during our school days?).
He is a law unto himself. So, he delivers jungle justice after feeding Biryani to a terrorist. He is possessive - about his house that is India. He flies into paroxysms when he is angry. He uses cuss words and you dare not resist. When he romances, he does it passionately. Allu Arjun, for all we know, was the best one to do this role.
Writer-director Vakkantham Vamsi seems to have finally liberated Tamil actor Sarathkumar. He was so dull in 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. With his salt-N-pepper look in 'NPS', he is not only energetic but also seems to be unpredictable. Arjun was good in 'LIE'. And he seems to have a meaty character in 'NPS'. The super-talented Boman Irani, after the forgettable 'Agnyaathavaasi', seems to have played an interesting role (as Surya's superior in the Army).
If Anu Emmanuel has to confront the volatile lover boy, Nadiya ('Mirchi' and 'Attarintiki Daredi' fame) has her share of problems with him. There is a family story, to be sure.
Vishal-Shekhar's music and Rajeev Ravi's cinematography are expected to be top-notch.
The film releases on May 4.
