Trailer Review: Jai Lava Kusa

The trailer minces no words in portraying Jai as the Ravana-esque brother and Lava and Kusa as Rama and Lakshmana. From abduction to stage drama, 'Jai Lava Kusa' has got them all.
NTR's acting prowess is writ large over the trailer. Impersonation seems to be a leitmotif, with the good guys doing it by consensus and the bad brother carrying it out clandestinely.
Kusa's lack of English-language skills is a blessing for audiences for obvious reasons. His sidekick, played by Praveen, is the only comedian seen. Otherwise, everything from comedy to romance, fights to bromance is our hero's responsibility.
It's a huge relief that there don't seem to be any villains speaking in Telugu with a horrible accent. Our larger-than-life, stammering villain is well-versed in chaste Telugu for good.
Raashi Khanna, Nivetha Thomas, Nandita Raj and Hamsa Nandini make for the glam quotient. But there is more. Tamannah has a special number. And that's for another day.
Release date: September 21.
