The trailer of 'Janatha Garage' was released during the audio release function by Dil Raju, BVSN Prasad and Prasad V Potluri.
As we guessed in the music review published before the trailer's release, the backdrop is (forest) mining. NTR is playing a Nature activist. "I like Creation. I like Nature, I like the trees", NTR says as the trailer begins. From what is there on display, it seems NTR shifts to Mumbai upon the urging by Mohanlal's character, as can be made out from the dialogue, "Janatha Garage nee kosam yeduru choostundi". NTR's fight with the capitalist mafia seems to begin before he moves to Mumbai, as can be made out from the line, "Mumbai ki chala oxygen supply chestayi", referring to a particular species of trees.
The fact that there is a line like "Nature tho pettukunte zooom" means that NTR's character is quite serious about the mission. Another line goes further, "Aa chettu ante entha pranamo, Bujji (Nithya Menen, perhaps) ante antha ishtam". Nithya mocks at NTR's idealism when she says, "Intha boring candidate tho ela andi?"
The trailer presents Mohanlal as a gutsy, intense crusader to boot.
Mohanlal is clearly playing a game-changing character. "Gonthulo muddha digakapovadam," Mohanlal says like a great actor he is.
Not much can be made about DSP's background music, but clearly, Thirru's cinematography, along with AS Prakash's art direction, seem to make it a visual treat.
