Trailer Review: Inkokkadu

Days after the release of the trailer of 'Iru Mugan', the Telugu version's trailer was released today. Titled as 'Inkokkadu', this one succeeds in creating interest around the story line, Vikram's performance in two roles (one as a RAW officer, the other one, the more curiouser one, as a transgender), and the technical elements, in the main.
Vikram is no stranger to experimenting with radically weird looks and get-ups. Versatility is his second name. 'Siva Putrudu', 'Aparichitudu', 'Mallanna', 'I' - they are all fresh in the audience's minds. The latest avatar is of a transgender desperado. Such is his acting repertoire.
The trailer says it all. Expect high technical standards (RD Rajsekhar's cinematography and Harris Jayaraj's music). Expect Vikram to smash it. He is seen in two roles. One is of a RAW agent, complete with a bearded look. The other one is of a villain by name Love, who is a havoc-creator wreaking a catastrophe with his scientific knowledge. While Vikram looks intense in the former, in the latter, he is quirkiness and eccentricity personified. Watch out for his subtle expression and body movies, complete with that of an old nurse.
Nithya Menen plays Vikram's associate (RAW officer on undercover task) and Nayanthara is his love interest. Together with Vikram, Nithya investigates the attack on Indian embassy in Malaysia, where the film is set. Nasser has an important roles.
The film is directed by Anand Shankar.
To be released in September (Tamil version is slated for Sept 2nd release), we have to see if the Rani (transgender avatar) gets her Raja (the RAW officer).
