Trailer Review: 'Gayatri'

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,January 29 2018]

The teaser had presented a character (Mohan Babu), who is self-styled when it comes to interpreting the earth-shattering happenings in Ramayanam and Mahabharatam. The trailer is far more substantial and hints at an intensely emotional drama involving two Mohan Babus (one of them is Gayatri Patel), Vishnu Manchu, Shriya Saran and Nikhila Vimal.

There is a political backdrop, the politician being Prudhvi. But it's Gayatri Patel's crime syndicate which is the bigger evil in the story, apparently.

It's vintage Mohan Babu when he makes those sinister expressions. It's vintage Mohan Babu when he says those fairly verbose dialogues (by Diamond Ratnababu).

Characters who are caught in a bind, court-room drama and much more are promised.

Written and directed by Madan, the film has been co-written by Ravi Bayyavarapu, Paruchuri Brothers have also worked on the script. Music is by SS Thaman, while the fights are by Kanal Kannan.
