Upcoming film 'The Kashmir Files', starring veteran actors Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, has been in news since last few weeks and finally its trailer was released this Monday. The project is based on the persecution and resulting exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the state in 1990. The trailer is full of hard hitting dialogs which describe the plight of victims and atrocities committed by extremists.
Sharing the trailer on Instagram, Zee Studios wrote, "32 years later, the emotions & the pain remain the same. Witness the brutally honest story of the Kashmir Genocide. #TheKashmirFilesTrailer." The cast of the film also includes Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Bhasha Sumbali and Chinmay Mandlekar among others.
Talking about his character from the film, Anupam Kher recently said, "I’ve brought out the pain and hardship on screen and look forward to its release on March 11. I wondered how to smile today as I have cried on screen in every scene in the film, and Vivek has hugged me immediately after saying ‘cut’. This is more than a performance, a film. It is a truth that is finally getting told. It is about humanity, goodness and pain, emotions attached to people."
'The Kashmir Files' is set to release theatrically on 11th of March.
