Actor Mohit Raina, who is known from his iconic television roles is all set to appear in the second season of MX Player's crime drama 'Bhaukaal'. In this show inspired by real life events, Mohit is going to portray a character inspired by IPS Officer Navniet Sekera, who tackled organised crime in Uttar Pradesh during early 2000s. The trailer for season 2 was released recently and it seems every bit as bloody and gritty as the first season.

Talking about his character, Raina recently stated, "Since my role is inspired by a real-life Singham, I wanted to go the extra mile to do justice with my character. We never realise the sacrifices that these men in khaki make for us. Whether it’s working planned shifts or being called into duty for emergency responses and all-hands on deck situations, there are so many times when law enforcement officers are called away from their families and are forced to miss holidays, birthdays, kids’ games, school events and more."

The actor concluded by saying, "This role for me was a small way of saying thank you to these bravehearts who put everything else on hold for their duty to the nation.”

'Bhaukaal' season 2 is going to stream exclusively on MX Player from 20th January.
