A tragic incident unfolded at Ramoji Film City in the outskirts of Hyderabad during the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Vistex, a multinational company, held at the Limelight Garden on Thursday, January 18th. The event was intended to be a grand affair, with Company Founder and CEO, Sanjay Shah (56), and Chairman Vishwanatha Raj being brought on stage via a crane. Unfortunately, a devastating mishap occurred when the crane wires were accidentally severed while transporting the guests.
The aftermath of this unfortunate incident led to the guests in the crane falling, resulting in severe injuries to Company CEO Sanjay Shah, Chairman Vishwanatha Raj, and several other company representatives. Swift action was taken, and the injured were promptly transported to MalakPet Yashoda Hospital. Tragically, Sanjay Shah succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Chairman Vishwanath Raj is currently under medical care.
Approximately 700 individuals attended the event, and upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances leading to the accident. The company's executive director lodged a complaint against Ramoji Events Authority, the entity responsible for the accident. Consequently, the police registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation.
As the guests were descending from a height onto the dais, the cables unexpectedly snapped, causing the crane compartment transporting them to collapse, as reported by the police officials.The Abdullapurmet police have officially filed a complaint against the management of Ramoji Film City, and an ongoing investigation is underway to ascertain the details surrounding this tragic incident.

Authorities have assured a comprehensive inquiry, pledging to implement necessary actions to prevent similar accidents in the future.
In response to the recent accident, Ramoji Film City has announced a thorough review of its safety measures. Despite maintaining a dedicated team of safety experts who routinely inspect all equipment and machinery, the incident underscores the imperative for even more rigorous safety protocols to be implemented and enforced.
