Traffic Ramasamy
The name needs no introduction. Traffic Ramaswamy is a social activist who is popular for his unflinching efforts to bring out to open the evils in the society. In addition to it he also has the pride of having filed more PILs in the country which counts over 500.
Obviously, the life of this man is worth making a film about- and so thought debutant director Vicky. SA Chandrasekhar essays the lead role depicting Traffic Ramaswamy while the film also has an ensemble cast that includes Rohini, Prakash Raj, Ambika and RK Suresh.
And guess what, the film also has special guest appearances from leading actors of the industry such as Vijay Sethupathi, Vijay Antony, Manobala, Seeman, Khushboo and S Ve Shekher.
The idea for the biopic germinated when Vicky was reading a book on Traffic Ramaswamy and approached SAC to essay the lead role. It is worth noting here that Vicky has worked as an assistant director to SA Chandrasekhar earlier. Reportedly, SAC accepted the project at once and the duo met with the man Traffic Ramaswamy himself who contributed for the film by donating Rs.200.
The filming for the film began on December 2017. SAC who plays the role of Traffic Ramaswamy revealed in a recent interview he is not afraid at all to play the controversial character.
Balamurali Balu has composed the music score for the film while Kugan S Palani has handled the cinematography for the film. Editor Prabaahar has made the cuts. The film has been bankrolled by Green Signal and is slated to hit the screens on June 22.
