Nobody expected 'Rangasthalam' to have the stamina to cross the collections of 'Baahubali-The Beginning' in Uttarandhra and Krishna. This Summer, the Ram Charan-Sukumar film had done it with aplomb.

And it is set to cross the Rajamouli magnum opus in China. 'Baahubali-The Beginning' was a thorough flop in China, collecting not more than USD 1.2 million.

But this won't be a big deal.

If Cherry's film makes even USD 2 million, it will be talked about somewhat. And if it gets stunning openings, it will boost the morale of Mega fans further.

Mega Power Star has confirmed that the village drama, starring also Samantha and Jagapathi Babu, will be released in the neighbouring country where, in recent times, even films like 'Hindi Medium' and 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' have put up a noteworthy performance. Going by the track record of Indian movies in China, 'Rangasthalam' has fairly higher chances to do better than even 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' (who knows, it might just do it!).
