Tovino Thomas , the hot young hero of Malayalam cinema, is setting foot on Kollywood shores with ‘Abhiyum Anuvum’ as the leading man and ‘Maari 2’ in which he is Dhanush’s villain. The exciting star has revealed that he is fluent in Tamil as he did his college studies in Coimbatore and has grown up on Tamil films.
About playing the villain in ‘Maari 2’, Tovino Thomas was apparently reluctant at first but after listening to the script he had immediately given his nod. Another connection is that Wunderbar Films have produced two Malayalam flicks with him in the past as well. Confrontation scenes between Dhanush and Tovino Thomas which are said to be the highlight of the film are yet to be shot.
