In an unprecedented turn of events, a tourist in China was left dangling 100 metres in the air after high winds struct and shattered the glass bridge he was walking on. Fortunately, the police officials, firefighters could intervene and were able to get the man off the bridge safely.
According to sources, the man was walking on a glass-bottomed bridge at a resort in Jilin Province when suddenly destructive winds started blowing across the region. The wind speed touched 150 km/hr and knocked off many glass panels of the bridge. Pictures of this incident spread like wild fire on the social media, where he is seen fighting for his life and clinging on to the bridge. But somehow the man managed the escape crawl to safety from this 100-metre high bridge to solid ground without sustaining any form of injuries, mentally or physically.
This shocking incident forced the authorities to close the Piyan Mountain Resort. However, this is not the first time that a glass bridge in China is making the headlines. Multiple reports have been filed for the glass shattering and in this case, the Longjing city government have launched an investigation to find out how the glass panel of the 2017 bridge shattered.
