Tom Cruise became a poster boy after the release of 'Top Gun' in 1986 in which he played the role of a fighter plane pilot trainee and there is still nostalgia surrounding his handsome screen presence and the edge of the seat storytelling by Tony Scott. Now after thirty-four years comes the sequel with the same amount of expectations from older fans and the promise of an old school entertainment for the youngsters.

'Top Gun: Maverick" has Tom Cruise graduated as a trainer himself this time with the younger cast including Miles Teller while Val Kilmer returns as his rival from the original. Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris are the other big names in the cast. Christopher McQuarrie who helmed the last two 'Mission Impossible' films is the director and the trailer that has just landed shows a lot of high flying sequences that would be a top draw at the box office. The film hits the screens on June 26th, 2020.
