The music from Vishu films still rules the charts with not many changes from the last week toppers.

1. Mandarapoo Mooli - Vinodayathra

Music Director : Ilayaraja

Lyrics : Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma

Singers : Swetha, Madhu Balakrishanan.

This is the first outing of lyricist Vayalar Sharath with Maestro Ilayaraaja. This well picturised romantic song on Dileep and Meera Jasmine was bound to be a hit and it tops the charts with its hummable character. The good run of the movie also support the songs becoming big hit.

2. Thala - Chotta Mumbai

Music : Rahul Raj

Lyrics : Sarath Varma

Singers : Shankar Mahadevan, Arjun Sasi, Sangeeth, Rahul Raj

The energetic song by an ensemble, led by Shankar Mahadevan, is climbing the charts. The song picturised with interesting visuals, of zest and youthfulness, is the marketing lead of the film, regularly presented even in between the telescopes of the evenings.

3. Muthumazha - Big B

Music : Alphonse

Lyrics : Jophy Tharakan

Singers : Vineeth Sreenivasan, Jyotsna

Alphonse has managed to make another song to the charts, the song's visuals shot in an album style also adds to its popularity. Mamtha and Bala has given sizzling presence to the visuals

4. Sankadathinu - Panthaya Kozhi

Music Director : Alex Paul

Lyrics : Sarath Varma

Singers : Vineeth Sreenivasan, Ramesh Babu

This is an item dance number in the film, which is a bit philosophical in lyrics. Music is the sole redeeming feature of this film. The Alex Paul-Sarath Varma team, which had virtually dominated the charts for the last few months, has no other entry other than this, in the hit charts this week.

5. Parayaanum - Paranju Theeratha Visheshangal

Music : M. Jayachandran

Lyrics : Yousafali Ketchery

Singers : Sujatha

Here comes the smooth, melody, the best of the lot heard in recent times on great lyrics. And the creators of the songs are also in the hit list after a long time. Even though the film is not making good at the box office, the songs are definitely soul stealers.

A number of refreshing new entries may fill the next week as the music of Goal and a few other films will reach the audience in a week.
