Top five songs of the week

The release of a few new movies has altered the previous chart toppers. The songs of Mayavi and Inspector Garud have entered the top list of Malayalam songs.
The top five Malayalam songs are:
1. Muttathe Mulle - Film: Mayavi; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma; Singers: K.J. Yesudas and Manjari
The super hit music makers of 2006 are continuing in their styles even in 2007 with their films, again in the chart tops. Mayavi has only two songs and both of them make it to the list. This song particularly is the highlighted soft melody which is repeated twice in the film. As the film is already a big hit the songs will continue to be at top for long.
2. Kannu Chimmi Chimmi - Film: Inspector Garud; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan.
Again another offering from the same hit team. The singer is continuing in his path of churning out only the super hits.
3. Sneham Thenalla - Film: Mayavi; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: M.G. Sreekumar and G. Venugopal.
This melodious song about friendship has made it quickly to the top. The visuals have Mammootty and co dancing to the beats of the song.
4. Ponnunni Njan - Film: Anchil Oraal Arjunan; Music: Mohan Sithara; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: P. Jayachandran.
The film is going in a slow pace in theatres, but this song makes it to the list.
5. Manathe Velli - Film: Palunku; Music: Mohan Sithara; Lyrics: Kaithapram; Singer: K. J. Yesudas
As the film still manages to attract the audience this special song also finds a place in the list.
