As new releases are pouring in, the 'Classmates' song 'Ente Khalbile' has been finally moved from the extreme top of the list even though 'Classmates,' 'Pothen Vava' and 'Chakkaramuthu' are ruling the music charts this fortnight.

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. Song: 'Karineela Kannilenthedee' Film: 'Chakkaramuthu' Music: M. Jayachandran Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry Singers: Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sujatha.

The song by Vineeth Sreenivasan captures hearts because of its simple rendering and lighter melody. M. Jayachandran, who is known for melody, returns to the list after quite some time, with this distinctive melodious number.

2. Song: 'Vave Makane' Film: 'Pothen Vava' Music: Alex Paul Lyrics: Sarath Varma Singers: Madhu Balakrishnan, Usha Uthup.

A simple melody with Usha Uthup rendering a different tone for cinema after a long time. The chemistry between Mammootty and Usha Uthup is the highlight of this film and this song captures their relationship beautifully.

3. Song: 'Ente Khalbile' Film: 'Classmates' Music: Alex Paul Lyrics: Sarath Varma Singers: Sujatha, Vineeth Sreenivasan.

After deservedly staying on top for months, this song climbs down to the other slots. But the film's resounding success is playing a role in broadcasting the song many number of times every day in various programmes of Malayalam FM's and Television channels .

4. Song: 'Arappavan' Film: 'Vaasthavam' Music: Alex Paul Singer: Rimi Tomy, Vidhu Prathap

The Music Director continues his winning strides with songs like this. A beautiful composition with good lyrics, rendered with just the right emotion by Vidhu Prathaap, this song is the latest entry into charts.

5. Song: 'Pulchaady' Film: 'Photographer' Music: Johnson

The master Music Director has made some noteworthy contributions in his comeback film. This song appearing twice in the album, of which one is rendered by the Music Director, is a hummable number and is one of the favourites with the children.
