As a few new releases have come up with good songs, the top five lists have taken a new look with fresh songs. The surprise winner is the new music director and songs of Arabikkatha, which offers a very pleasant hearing. The top five songs are

1. Thirike Film - Arabikatha; Music: Bijibal; Lyrics: Anil Panachooran; Singer: Yesudas. The nostalgia element of the song has worked out in full force for the songs to fetch it the prime place in the charts. The lyrics which surfaces the longing of an expatriate to reach his mother land is as sweet as a lullaby. Sure to be in the charts for long, the song announces the landing of a fresh composer.

2. Chella Thamara Film - Hello; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Vayalar Sarath Varma; Singers: K.S. Chitra and Sangeetha Prabhu lend the voice to this winner. Chitra's free flowing voice makes it a good melody piece to her with her soothing voice.

3. Kanavinte Film July 4; Music: Ouseppachan; Singers: Vidhu, Jyotsna. Another feel good song from Dileep films, this time in Ouseppachan's music. This is an Adipoli song, typical of a Dileep film that makes viewers swing to its tune. Borrowing beats from many hits, the song is an instant winner

4. Tharkamalarukal Film Arabikkatha; Music Bijibaal; Lyrics Anil Panachooran, Singer, and Vineeth Sreenivasan. The singer is again back in the hit list singing another song for his father to lip-sync.

5. Oru Vaakum Film July4; Music Ouseppachan; Lyrics: Vayalar; Singers Shwetha, Vineeth Sreenivasan. One of the best songs heard recently from the music director, this is a slow melody which will make you to hum, more than once.
