Top Five Movies

1. "Narasimhudu": The film has registered terrific openings, but the tempo may not remain for long. The wafer-thin plot and the dreary narration by director B. Gopal do not promise big potential for the remake of the Kannada hit "Durgi".

2. "Atanokkade": The smashing hit, with NTR Jr's half-brother Kalyan Ram in the lead, heralds the entry of another action star from the Nandamuri clan. The slick film has made debutant Surendra a Rs.10-million-plus maker. Good promotion is helping the thriller.

3. "Chandramukhi": Superstar Rajnikanth has arrived with a bang in Telugu, as the film crossed the 50-day mark and is expected to gross over Rs.150 million. This kind of response could prompt Rajnikanth to do a 'straight' Telugu film.

4. "Bhadra": With terrific openings, Ravi Teja does make a comeback, but the film began to slide down from second week due to the familiar plot and treatment.

5. "Bunny": After this success, Allu Arjun may do more action roles, having played a lover boy in his earlier two hits. His dancing and performance stand out in this routine revenge saga. The winning streak of director Vinayak continues.
