1. Vijayendra Varma

Balakrishna at his bombastic best, mouthing patriotic songs and bashing the baddies from every top. Fast songs, rhythmic steps and bloody fights. It is all stereotyped. Critics have panned the film. But the film has got some sensational openings.

2. Vidhyardhi

Campus capers are always attractive. Here the boys fight for the survival of their institution. Fun and fisticuffs dominate the movie. Hero Ramesh, however, has a long way o go. Aditi Agarwal is cute and bubbly.

3. Sakhiya (Na Thora)

Tarun's love's labor seems lost. The young hero desperate for a hit is let down by an average script. The heroine's skin show is cool for young eyes. Some fetching visuals also provide relief.

4. Yuvasena

A shoestring budget, a taut script, some energetic acting…voile, what you have? A success. Yuvasena is mercifully a hit in a season of failures.

5. Shankardada MBBS

Seems a film from a different age. In the fifth position for want of competition.
