Samba heads the Top Five Film Albums followed by Gharshana and Swamy
1. "Samba"
Ace composer Mani Sharma has again proved to be the best choice for star-centric films. The album has set new records in audio sales. NTR Jr's elegant dancing to the foot-tapping numbers has made the songs more popular.
2. "Gharshana"
With "Gharshana", Tamil composer Harris Jayaraj has scored another musical hit for noted star Venkatesh after "Vaasu", and his Cheliya cheliya number has already become a rage among listeners. Even Venkatesh likes Cheliya and Aadatanamma. It's a good mix but doesn't sound like Telugu film music -- and there lies its novelty. Even the theme music accompanying the trailers has been appreciated.
3. "Swamy"
National Award-winning composer Keeravani has composed a few good tunes for this routine revenge drama. Interestingly, he has sung for both the protagonist and the antagonist. Keeravani has already scored two hits for veteran actor Harikrishna. And now with "Swamy", they are on the verge of a hat-trick.
4. "Ammayi Bagundi"
After quite sometime, woman composer Srilekha has come up with an interesting album that comprises good melodies and fast-paced numbers. Among the numbers in "Ammayi Bagundi", Kale kannanule is the topper while she has scored some catchy tunes for the other lyrics as well.
5. "Prema Nagar"
Hindi composer Anu Mallick makes his debut in Telugu with this Telugu-Kannada bilingual film and belts out mostly "racy numbers" with a touch of melody. Director S.V. Rajendrasingh Babu, known for his lavishness, has further boosted the songs through elegant shots. The youth are already humming Jhammu jhammu.
