Ever since Swacch Bharat initiative was announced by the Centre with the aim of making India clean by Gandhiji's 150th birth anniversary in 2019, toilets have come to be seen as important in our lives. Imagine a top director making a film that drives home a message that might be close to the objective of Swacch Bharat.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Bhaagh Milkha Bhaagh' fame is doing just that. Set in a Mumbai slum, the film tells the story of a group of kids (friends), one of whom wants to build a toilet for his mother. Titled 'Mere Pyare Prime Minister', the film is currently in making.

The talented filmmaker has been making this film rather silently. He had had this idea for many years.
