Top actors mourn director's death

Mollywood director IV Sasi, who made 150 films, passed away on Tuesday morning. Condolences have been pouring in. Mohanlal and Mammootty, two of the stars whose career he shaped, have mourned the loss.
"A great director who celebrated the lives of ordinary human beings. I salute the teacher who made spectators and actors like me students of Malayalam cinema," Complete Actor Mohanlal says. His contemporary, Mammootty, says that the demise of the "beloved one" has made him weak.
Kamal Haasan, who teamed up with Sasi more than once, says, "My friend for 45 years IV Sasi is no more. The industry & I mourn a great technician. My support & love to my sister Seema Sasi &family."
Dulquer Salman, Mammootty's son, says, "RIP Sasi uncle! He created an Era of his own in Malayalam Cinema. Have fond memories of him from my childhood."
Nivin Pauly, says, "It's saddening to know that the legend of Malayalam cinema – I V Sasi sir is no more. I grew up watching his movies and must say he was an icon who created movies that stood the test of time. He certainly bridged the gap between commerce and art in Malayalam cinema like nobody else before him could. What a remarkable innings he had in the Indian cinema industry. He will be truly missed!"
Resul Pookutty says, "The man who rewritten the course of mainstream Malayalam cinema #IVSasi is no more.We had been discussing a film together. It`s my personal loss!"
Yesteryear actress Simran says, "RIP #IVSasi sir Hearty Condolences to his family.. No one can substitute his gap."
