The Malayalam entertainment sector continues to be hit by the existing curbs on public activities over the COVID-19 pandemic. As theatres remain shut and producers of films are not in a hurry to commit new projects, artists, technicians, and others who make a living from cinemas are find the going tough.
With the rising concern among the producers stating that they cannot keep up with the rising salary of top actors in the industry, several Mollywood actors had even agreed for a fifty percent pay cut.

Fahadh Faasil – Rs 70-80 lakhs
