Even though a number of small releases made their presence felt at the box office, none of them provided with enough mettle to be at the top of the lists. Kalabhavan Mani has three films in the week, but none of them made an impact opening. The Sivaji mania, on the other hand has taken the state by a storm, and the film manages to be at the top, a rare occurrence for a Tamil film in the Kerala box office.

1. Sivaji: The film was the biggest talk and the biggest event in Kerala this month. As expected, the film made a big opening with 100 percent in the first few days and is surviving at the top even in its 12th day.

2. Vinodayathra: Dileep's first venture as a hero with director Sathyan Anthikkad is the real super-hit among Vishu releases and has provided him with a big hit which he was searching for in the last couple of years.

3. Time: Suresh Gopi with favorite director Shaji Kailas managed to make the film run to a fifty days mark, even though the film didn't bring in much opinion.

4. Chotta Mumbai: Anwar Rasheed, the director of this film, finally make it better of his competitor Big B in the long run and the film will completes its hundred days, within a couple of weeks.

5. Rakshakan: Thulasidas's Kalabhavan Mani starrer finds a place in this list only because other new entries ran worse than this.
